Dr. Ahmed Al Saadi graduated from the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences in Al Ain in 1999 (Distinction with Honour).  He received multiple awards of excellence throughout medical school. He joined the Ophthalmology program in McGill University, Canada in July 2001 and graduated in 2006 from the Royal College of Surgeons Canada.

He was awarded with the first clinician price in 2003 in McGill. Following that, he obtained a fellowship in cornea and anterior Segment from the University of Montreal in 2007.  He completed his Executive Masters in Healthcare Administration in 2010 (Distinction with Honour).

He has been working in Zayed Military Hospital. He established the Cornea transplant program at Zayed Military Hospital in 2008.  He also introduced the up to date cornea procedure to Zayed Military Hospital.  He has performed more than 1,500 refractive procedures. He is actively involved in teaching in UAE University and various residency programs in the UAE.  He has a special interest in Keratoconus.  He is the Chief Medical Officer of ZMH.

Dr. Ali Fadlallah is a Fellow of the Harvard Medical School and holds an Ophthalmology specialized diploma from the prestigious Sorbonne University in Paris. He became a European board certified ophthalmologist after his training in the Hotel-Dieu of Paris, one of the oldest hospitals in Europe. He holds a Medical Diploma from the Saint-Joseph University in Beirut from which he graduated as Laureate and Magna cum Laude. He has also a Master in Science, and a Master in Public Health.

Dr. Fadlallah is specialized in Cornea, Cataract, and Refractive surgery. He has extensive experience in treating keratoconus and corneal disease needing corneal transplants and Keratoprosthesis. He is an IntraLase (Intra LASIK) certified surgeon. He has surgical international ophthalmology experience in humanitarian missions (North Africa and Asia) where he goes to operate difficult and advanced cataracts in drastic conditions.

He is an author of more than 32 peer-reviewed papers, and 70 international conferences and posters. He is an active member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO), the European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery (ESCRS), the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology (ARVO), the International Society of Refractive Surgery (ISRS), the French Ophthalmologic Society (SFO), and the French Refractive Surgery Society (SAFIR).

He is an official reviewer for several international Ophthalmology journals (Journal of Refractive Surgery and Journal of cataract and Refractive surgery). Dr Fadlallah holds a faculty appointment at the Saint-Joseph University, Faculty of Medicine, Beirut as a Lecturer and Instructor and a Cornea Consultant position in affiliated hospitals.

Dr. Elias F. Jarade is a graduate of Harvard Medical School with two certificates of fellowship in cornea and refractive surgery.  He has 10 years’ experience in the practice and research of cornea, cataract and refractive surgery and corneal transplants, as well as being a certified trainer in IntraLase technology and a pioneer of IntraLasik technology. Dr. Elias has made major contributions to the development of new concepts of keratoconus treatment.

Dr. Elias is also credited with the discovery of a new treatment for the blinding disease DLK stage IV. He invented two new formulas (Jarade’s formula and Jarade’s method) for accurate corneal power measurement after LASIK surgery.  In addition, he developed a new technique in refractive surgery for the treatment of high myopia and thin cornea.

Hamed Anwar

Dr. Anwar has over 14 years of experience in Cornea and external eye disease. He has a special interest in Cataract, Cornea and Refractive surgery. Dr Anwar trained in the UK and undertook his Corneal Fellowship at Moorfields Eye Hospital London; he holds fellowships from the Royal College of Ophthalmologists in London as well as from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons from Glasgow. He is on the GMC specialist register for Ophthalmology.

He is an active member of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists, the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the International Society of Refractive Surgery, and the European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery. He previously held a post as an Associate Clinical Lecturer at the Institute of Neuroscience at Newcastle University.

His work on lamellar corneal transplantation has earned him several accolades including Best papers of session at the ASCRS and the UKISCRS, along with two Golden Ribbons from the AAO.

He is an active educator, both at a postgraduate and undergraduate level, including several of his articles being featured in international publications including Cornea, Clinical Ophthalmology Journal and the Journal of Refractive Surgery. He has also presented at several international conferences including ESCRS, ARVO, ASCRS, and the AAO.

He is actively involved in philanthropic work with the Graham Layton Trust, London, a Non-Profit Organization dedicated to preventing blindness in Pakistan.

Dr. Abdulla Naqi received his medical degree from the royal college of surgeons in Dublin, Ireland in1997. He went afterwards to do an internship year at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda, Ireland, and became a fully registered Doctor at the Irish Medical Council.

He returned to Dubai, United Arab emirates in 1998 to start a career in Ophthalmology. In 2002, Dr. Naqi started his residency program training at McGill University in Montreal, Canada. He was inaugurated at the Royal College of Surgeons in Canada and awarded the fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons and became a Canadian board certified ophthalmologist.

Dr. Naqi continued his subspecialty fellowship training at the University of Toronto, Canada where he successfully completed a year of research fellowship in glaucoma and advanced anterior segment surgery, then followed that with a year in surgical fellowship in glaucoma and advanced anterior segment with the world renowned Surgeon, Dr. Ike Ahmed in 2009.

He is currently a Consultant glaucoma and anterior segment surgeon at Dubai Hospital and the Executive Director of North American Lasik and Eye Surgery Center, Dubai.

Dr. Naqi established and currently running an ambulatory surgical center which provides surgical solutions to refractive errors, using latest generation excimer laser machines. Alberto Galvez, MD, is a Staff Physician in the Eye Institute at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi. Prior to joining Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, Dr. Galvez worked in senior medical roles in Europe and the Middle East. He is an expert in neuro-ophthalmology, treating complex visual problems affecting the optic nerve, ocular motility and central visual pathways, and has contributed extensively to research in his specialization.

Previous roles have included Director of the Neuro-ophthalmology Unit at the Hospital del Mar in Barcelona, Spain, from 2007 to 2010, and he was responsible for the Neuro-ophthalmology Division at King Khaled Eye Specialist Hospital in Riyadh, KSA, from 2010 to 2016.

Dr. Galvez studied medicine at the University of Navarra, Spain, and obtained a Ph.D from the Complutense University of Madrid, Spain. He later completed his ophthalmology residency at the Hospital 12 de Octubre in Madrid, Spain, and a residency in neurology at the Hospital del Mar in Barcelona, Spain. He completed a Clinical fellowship in neuro-ophthalmology at the University of Michigan, US.

Dr. Galvez is a graduate of the European Society of Neurology (Board Certified) and is a member of the North American Neurophthalmology Society, American Academy of Ophthalmology (Neuro-ophthalmology Section) and the European Neuro-ophthalmology Society.

He has done his postgraduate training in Oculoplastic and orbital surgery at Nottingham University hospital and London Western Eye hospital, UK. Dr. Eatamadi’s main subject of interest is medical and surgical management of oculoplastic and orbital diseases of the eye. He has special interest in thyroid eye disease, orbital immunological diseases and orbital tumours in UAE.

In 2008, he joined Tawam Hospital where he established the first Oculoplastics and Orbital Service in any UAE government hospital. In September 2011, he transferred to Sheikh Khalifa Medical City, Abu Dhabi. At SKMC, he continued to develop this service and currently Sheikh Khalifa Medical City is one of the main referral centers for oculoplastics and orbital surgery for all SEHA facilities as well as for other UAE Emirates.

He has established – together – with the endocrinologists at Sheikh Khalifa Medical City, a joint thyroid-ophthalmology clinic where all those patients who need special attention are evaluated and treated. In addition Dr. Eatamadi has special interest in paediatric and adult immunological diseases of the eye and he does a joint clinic with the immunologist at Sheikh Khalifa Medical City. Dr. Eatamadi is the program director of the residency program and is actively involved in teaching the residents.

Prof. Dr. Gauba comes from a strong medical background in the UAE with his family being in the Dubai healthcare sector for over 30 years as specialist doctors. His father was one of the first few Ophthalmologists in the UAE.

Dr. Gauba was raised in the UAE but born and fully trained in United Kingdom. After completing his medical degree (with honours) from Guy’s King’s and St.Thomas’ School of Medicine in London, he proceeded to train for 7 years in Ophthalmology. Dr Gauba has over 13 years’ experience in the UK after which he joined the Imperial Healthcare team as the medical director in 2008.

He completed the full UK training program including specialising in paediatric ophthalmology, medical ophthalmology including retinal diseases, glaucoma, anterior segment, neuro-ophthalmology, cataract surgery and oculofacial surgery. He proceeded to complete three fellowship programs in Oculofacial Surgery, Orbital and Lacrimal Surgery including one at Moorfields Eye Hospital, London. He also received dedicated Refractive Surgery training from some of the pioneers and forefathers of LASIK and laser eye surgery, Professor Ioannis Pallikaris and Professor Michael O’Keeffe. He went on to take up a consultant position at the Royal Victoria Eye and Ear Hospital, Dublin prior to returning to Dubai.

Dr. Gauba has published over 25 articles in leading international peer-review journals. He has received many accolades for his work and is routinely asked to review articles and provide press releases as a result of his advances in the world of Ophthalmology. His Masters in Science in Medical Research from the University of Oxford and Leeds also gives him additional experience in this field. He is closely linked with the Royal College of Ophthalmologists, of which he is a fellow, where he has been responsible for organizing and supervising many educational activities. His post-graduate qualification in Medical Education from the University of Warwick puts him in a unique position to serve as an experienced surgeon, clinical educator and international researcher.

Dr. Gauba speaks English, French, Spanish, Hindi, Urdu and has a post-graduate qualification in Arabic along with speaking Khaleeji Arabic.

Francesco Pichi, MD, is a Clinical Associate in the Eye Institute at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, where he subspecializes in diseases of the retina, uveitis, ocular inflammations and infections. Prior to joining Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, Dr. Pichi worked at the Cole Eye Institute, at Cleveland Clinic in Ohio, US.

Dr. Pichi’s experience in both Europe and the US has contributed to his diverse expertise in disease presentations in the fields of retina and uveitis. His clinical and research work has contributed to innovations in the fields of retinal imaging and the treatment of inflammatory eye diseases. He was part of the European Study Group that discovered the application of mineralocorticoid receptors antagonists for the oral treatment of central serous chorioretinopathy. He was also a leader in employing a non-invasive new imaging modality such as Optical Coherence Tomography Angiography to assess the status of the iris vessels in patients with vascular diseases such as hypertension, diabetes and vasculitis.

Dr. Pichi’s current research interest is the use of multimodal imaging of the retina in order to understand the etiology of various pathologies and to accurately guide treatment. In the fields of uveitis and ocular inflammation, his efforts are in creating objective ways of measuring inflammation which would provide a better outcome for patients.

Dr. Pichi graduated summa cum laude from the Alma Mater Studiorum of the University of Bologna, Bologna, Italy and went on to pursue his ophthalmology residency at the University of Milan, Milan, Italy, where he trained in cataract surgery. During his training, he developed an interest in the fields of medical retina and uveitis, and became an intern at Moorfields Eye Hospital, London, UK.

He underwent a preceptorship in uveitis and ocular immunology at Bascom Palmer Eye Institute, University of Miami, US. He also pursued a two-year fellowship at the Cole Eye Institute, Cleveland Clinic, Ohio, US in uveitis, ocular inflammations and infections.

Dr. Ibraheem A. El-Ghrably, MBBch, FRCOphth is a staff physician in the Eye Institute at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi. Prior to joining Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, Dr. El-Ghrably worked as a Consultant Retina Specialist at James Cook University Hospital (JCUH) in Middlesbrough in the United Kingdom. Dr. El-Ghrably was also a Royal College tutor at JCUH’s Department of Ophthalmology, and served as Educational and Clinical Supervisor for specialty trainee doctors. He chaired the Research and Development Division of Surgery at James Cook University Hospital, and was the Ophthalmology Representative for the UK’s North East Local Eye Health Network. Dr. El-Ghrably is a Member of the Advisory Board of a number of pharmaceutical companies. He is a member of the Royal College National Committee for the Requirement of Specialist Trainees.

In April 2012, Dr. El-Ghrably received the NHS Clinical Excellence Award from James Cook University Hospital as recognition for his clinical service and contribution in teaching, training and research. In January 2000, he received the Nottingham University Research Prize for his PhD project.

Dr. El-Ghrably has a special interest in Medical and Surgical Retinal Disorders. He has performed a large number of ocular surgeries, including 3000 phacoemulsification procedures with intraocular lens and nearly 800 vitreoretinal surgeries. He has made an active contribution to research and was awarded his PhD degree from Nottingham University in the United Kingdom in 2000. He was the principle investigator for several clinical trials, including the MERLOT trial, comparing treatments for wet age-related macular degeneration, one of the most common causes of blindness in the UK, and Comrade clinical trials at James Cook University Hospital. He has published multiple journal articles and is a regular speaker at national and international conferences.

Dr. El-Ghrably is currently a Fellow of the Royal College of Ophthalmology in the United Kingdom and is a member of the American Academy Of Ophthalmology in the United States. Additionally, he serves as a member of the Euretina and is registered with the General Medical Council in the United Kingdom.​

Prior to joining Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, Dr Julian practiced as Staff Ophthalmologist at Austral University Hospital in Buenos Aires, Argentina. She was also the head of the Uveitis Clinic at the Instituto de la Visión in Buenos Aires, Argentina, the first private setting uveitis department in the country.

Dr Julian earned both her Medical and Ophthalmology degree from the University of Buenos Aires, Argentina. She completed two fellowships in Uveitis; the first at the University of Buenos Aires, Argentina; the second at La Pitié-Salpêtrière Hospital (Université Pierre et Marie Curie, Sorbonne Universités) in Paris, France. Her experience in so different clinical settings, South America and Europe, has contributed to her deep understanding on the relation between genetics and environment in uveitis clinical course.

Dr Julian is also a Professor of Ophthalmology at Austral University School of Medicine in Buenos Aires, Argentina and works as a reviewer and associate editor for important scientific journals in the field of Ocular Inflammation. Her present research project is focussed on the influence of ancestry in the severity of uveitis course.

Arif O. Khan, MD, is a staff physician specialized in Pediatric Ophthalmology and Clinical Professor of Ophthalmology at the Eye Institute at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, where he is responsible for the Pediatric Eye Care Service.

Prior to joining Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, Dr. Khan served as Senior Academic Consultant in the Division of Pediatric Ophthalmology at King Khaled Eye Specialist Hospital in Saudi Arabia from 2007 to 2015. He was also Senior Scientist at the Department of Genetics at King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Center during the same period. Before living in the Middle East, Dr. Khan was in private practice on Long Island, New York, and had a university appointment in New York City.

In addition to being well-experienced in the medical and surgical management of pediatric eye disease, Dr. Khan is a regional expert in Ocular Genetics. His clinical and research interests are the management and genetics of ocular developmental disorders and strabismus.

Dr. Khan has supervised and trained scores of residents in Ophthalmology and more than 30 Fellows in Pediatric Ophthalmology clinically, surgically, and academically.  He continues to serve as an external examiner to certify competency of ophthalmologists-in-training.

Dr. Khan maintains strong contacts with Academic Ophthalmology in the United States. He is Associate Editor for the Journal of the American Association for Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus and is on the editorial board of the journal Ophthalmic Genetics. In addition, Dr. Khan is a member of the American Ophthalmological Society and is International Consultant for the American Academy of Ophthalmology Basic and Clinical Science Series Part 6 (Pediatric Ophthalmology & Strabismus).

Dr. Khan graduated Magna Cum Laude with Distinction (B.A.) from Yale University, New Haven, Connecticut, US, and Alpha Omega Alpha with Dean’s Commendation (M.D.) from the State University of New York at Syracuse, New York, US. Dr. Hayat Khan is the head for pediatric ophthalmology division of Dubai Health Authority. His primary practice is based at Dubai Hospital where he is engaged in teaching ophthalmology residents as well as involved in research activity along with his pediatric ophthalmology and strabismology practice.

In 2008, he pursued AAPOS Fellowship in Pediatric Ophthalmology and Retinal Dystrophy from McGill University, Montreal, Canada followed by second Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus Fellowship from largest program in North America at Hospital for Sick Children, Toronto, Canada.

Earlier, after completing 5 years residency from Aligarh Muslim University in 2003, Dr. Hayat Khan undertook his anterior segment training at prestigious All India Institute of Medical Sciences for phacoemulsification and later in Nepal for small incision cataract surgery. He served as Assistant Professor in Ophthalmology at esteemed Tribhuvan University, Nepal in 2004-05. He was then appointed with Orbis International and Government of Guyana to serve Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation for providing large scale cataract and glaucoma surgical initiative and operated thousands of patients. While continuing to work as a Consultant in St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Guyana, he gained experience as a general ophthalmologist but his interest in pediatrics ophthalmology was strengthened alongside his developing interest in adult motility disorders.

In 2010, he developed a state-of-the-art tertiary care pediatrics ophthalmic service in Una, India. He spent few years as a Consultant in Saad Specialist Hospital, Eastern Province, where he provided pediatric ophthalmic services at tertiary care services (including ROP screening & treatment) and advanced strabismus surgeries where he is especially talented in doing squint surgeries using adjustable sutures. For two years he serves at Ain Al Khaleej Hospital in Al Ain. He has been invited speaker in numerous international conferences and awarded 2012 Research Award AAPOS Meeting in San Antonio, Texas. He is author/coauthor of several international scientific articles. He is also associate editor and reviewer for numerous international journals.

Dr. Abdulla Naqi received his medical degree from the royal college of surgeons in Dublin, Ireland in1997. He went afterwards to do an internship year at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda, Ireland, and became a fully registered Doctor at the Irish Medical Council.

He returned to Dubai, United Arab emirates in 1998 to start a career in Ophthalmology. In 2002, Dr. Naqi started his residency program training at McGill University in Montreal, Canada. He was inaugurated at the Royal College of Surgeons in Canada and awarded the fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons and became a Canadian board certified ophthalmologist.

Dr. Naqi continued his subspecialty fellowship training at the University of Toronto, Canada where he successfully completed a year of research fellowship in glaucoma and advanced anterior segment surgery, then followed that with a year in surgical fellowship in glaucoma and advanced anterior segment with the world renowned Surgeon, Dr. Ike Ahmed in 2009.

Prior to joining Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, Dr. Khan served as Senior Academic Consultant in the Division of Pediatric Ophthalmology at King Khaled Eye Specialist Hospital in Saudi Arabia from 2007 to 2015. He was also Senior Scientist at the Department of Genetics at King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Center during the same period. Before living in the Middle East, Dr. Khan was in private practice on Long Island, New York, and had a university appointment in New York City.

In addition to being well-experienced in the medical and surgical management of pediatric eye disease, Dr. Khan is a regional expert in Ocular Genetics. His clinical and research interests are the management and genetics of ocular developmental disorders and strabismus.

Dr. Khan has supervised and trained scores of residents in Ophthalmology and more than 30 Fellows in Pediatric Ophthalmology clinically, surgically, and academically.  He continues to serve as an external examiner to certify competency of ophthalmologists-in-training.

Dr. Khan maintains strong contacts with Academic Ophthalmology in the United States. He is Associate Editor for the Journal of the American Association for Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus and is on the editorial board of the journal Ophthalmic Genetics. In addition, Dr. Khan is a member of the American Ophthalmological Society and is International Consultant for the American Academy of Ophthalmology Basic and Clinical Science Series Part 6 (Pediatric Ophthalmology & Strabismus).

Dr. Khan graduated Magna Cum Laude with Distinction (B.A.) from Yale University, New Haven, Connecticut, US, and Alpha Omega Alpha with Dean’s Commendation (M.D.) from the State University of New York at Syracuse, New York, US. After an Internal Medicine internship at Yale-New Haven Hospital, Connecticut, US, Dr. Khan did his residency in Ophthalmology at the Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York City, New York, US. Dr. Sasikumar earned his medical degree from the University of Mysore, India, and completed his residency from the Institute of Ophthalmology at the Joseph Eye Hospital in Trichy, India. He consequently worked as a senior registrar at Schell Eye Hospital at the Christian Medical College in Vellore, India.

He then worked as a adjunct researcher in the glaucoma department at the L V Prasad Eye Institute in Hyderabad, India, for two years, before pursuing a clinical fellowship in Glaucoma at the Sydney Hospital and Sydney Eye Hospital, Australia. He is also Senior Lecturer at UCL Institute of Ophthalmology. Dr Sagoo graduated from the MB, PhD programme of Cambridge University, with a PhD in retinal electrophysiology at the MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology in Cambridge. He underwent Ophthalmology residency training at Oxford and at Moorfields. He trained in Ocular Oncology, as a Fulbright Scholar, under Drs Jerry and Carol Shields at Wills Eye Hospital, Philadelphia, USA, and Medical Retina Fellowship at Moorfields hospital, before being appointed to his current position in London in 2008.

He has written 5 book chapters and over 60 academic papers, including in the journal Nature. Honours and awards include a Fulbright scholarship to the USA, John Glyn Young Fellows Prize of the Royal Society of Medicine, the Syme Medal of Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, Honour Award of Greek Vitreoretinal Society, the PJ Hay Medal of the North of England Ophthalmological Society. He has recently been awarded the King James IV Professorship in Surgery by the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.

He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and the Royal College of Ophthalmologists. He is an International Member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and Member of the European Society of Retina Specialists. He was also elected to membership of the Macula Society, Council Membership of Oxford Ophthalmological Congress and served as Honorary Secretary of the International Society of Ocular Oncology.

Dr. Nazimul Hussain has published in 41 peer reviewed and 22 non-peer reviewed journals. Kanuri Santhamma Retina Vitreous Centre, L.V. Prasad Eye Institute, Hyderabad, India (1998-2001). He worked as an Assistant Medical Director and Vitreoretinal Surgeon and visiting professor to fellowship training in Aditya Jyot Eye Hospital (2001-2003). He was Program Director for LVP-Indian Ophthalmology College Education (Non-Profit).

After completing his medical degree at King Edward Memorial Hospital, Mumbai, with distinction in Ophthalmology, he pursued his post-graduate training at L.T.M.General Hospital and Sir J.J. Group of Hospital, Mumbai. He was among the first resident ophthalmologists to regularly perform non-phaco small incision cataract surgery and phacoemulsification in 1995-96 in Mumbai. He underwent an extensive and rigorous Fellowship in vitreo-retinal diseases and surgery at the esteemed Sankara Nethralaya & Vision Research Foundation (Chennai, India) and also completed his Fellowship in Ophthalmology from The Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh. Dr. Rao joined Dubai Hospital in June 2003, and was instrumental in developing the vitreo-retinal unit. He was involved not only in clinical and surgical work, but also in surgical training of peers, clinical research, publications in peer-reviewed journals, and scientific paper presentations.

Prior to joining Mediclinic Welcare Hospital, he was the first to introduce scleral buckling for management of retinal detachments in retinopathy of prematurity in 2003, and intravitreal antiVEGF injections for active ROP in 2008 in the UAE. In 2006, he was the first to perform combined half-fluence photodynamic therapy and intravitreal lucentis injection for wet AMD in the gulf region. In 2009, he setup the ROP registry in Dubai and Al Wasl Hospitals.

He joined Mediclinic Welcare Hospital in October 2009. In 2010, he was credited as the first surgeon in UAE to perform lens sparing vitrectomy for Stage IV retinopathy of prematurity. He is also one of the first retinal surgeons to perform 25gauge vitrectomy for treatment of complex retinal detachments and for treatment of vitreoretinal complications of proliferative diabetic retinopathy. He has performed well over 2000 cataract surgeries (phacoemulsification) and over 5000 posterior segment surgeries including combined phaco-vitrectomies. He is a currently Medical Director, Specialist Ophthalmologist & Vitreoretinal Surgeon at Medcare Eye Center.

He is a Fellow in Vitreo-Retinal Diseases and Surgery from Sankara Nethralaya & Vision Research Foundation, Chennai, India, and Fellow in Ophthalmology from The Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh. He is board certified by the National Board for Ophthalmology (India).
